EcoPlex On The Rise
On March 23, 2007, the 500-car parking structure for EcoPlex was completed and groundbreaking for the 100,000 sq. ft. building portion of the project took place. Hedrick Brothers Construction reports that construction is moving towards completion for May, 2008 on EcoPlex, one of Palm Beach County's first LEED certified, multi-tenanted office buildings. The first EcoPlex tenant improvements will be completed beginning in June with new companies moving in shortly thereafter.Along with the building, Hedrick will construct an innovative Natural Water Filtration System consisting of native coral and plant species which will enhance the water quality of an adjacent pond for use in the cooling process for the project's air conditioning system. These improvements, along with the cooling tower and the cisterns that will store the roof water for later use, will form a natural educational venue where employees and guests may gather and enjoy breaks throughout the workday.
